What is Barkcloth?  We define barkcloth as beautiful nubby cotton textile used primarily for drapery and upholstery fabric.  Vintage barkcloth available at Sputnik?s Station was made between 1930 and 1979. The term  barkcloth is sometimes also applied to rayon, acetone, polyester, and even silk, but mostly it is 100% cotton.  It is VAT dyed, meaning it was printed with an environmentally sound process and it is machine washable.  We will cut some (but not all) panels on request.  If you are unhappy with any of our products, just return them for a full refund.
